Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary

  • Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary 130 Essex Street South Hamilton, MA, 01982 United States (map)

This event is designed to talk about how evangelical communities can begin to engage the LGBTQ community with the gospel. The Religion Research Institute found that 31% of young people are leaving the Church over its treatment of the LGBTQ community, and so this is an issue that faces churches not only on an evangelism level, but a pastoral level as well. Topics would include addressing a lot of the hurt that has been caused towards the LGBTQ population, talking about how church culture contributes towards continued marginalization and isolation of LGBTQ people, and how to move forward in repentance and humility while still challenging a lot of the dominant narratives in our culture today that are hostile towards the gospel.
